*POSTPONED* When a relationship struggles, especially between a parent and a child, it's easy to create blame. Is it the parenting? Is it the child's defiance and selfishness? These struggles often make it difficult for parents and children to feel connected. Children that have endured psychological trauma find it difficult to form attachments to their caregivers. Parents that have sustained early childhood trauma may have a compromised ability to trust. Instead of placing blame, Jodi Bean offers tools for parents to better engage in their own self-reflection to recognize unhealthy patterns and learn to replace them with peace and calm. Jodi will offer ways to help parents stay attuned to their children, looking beyond their behaviors, to find successful techniques to help children become and stay regulated. This workshop will take an in depth look how boundaries determine the success of all relationships by learning how to create and respect their own boundaries and others.

Special guests will include professionals that offer different therapeutic techniques to help increase trust and develop stronger attachments.

Living with a child with an attachment disorder is not only difficult for the caregivers but creates difficulties for siblings that often go unnoticed. Jodi invites a panel of siblings to discuss challenges they face in the home and a better understanding of their perspectives.
